Moroccan Crêpes: Baghrir


The thousand holes pancakes or crêpes reminds me of Arabian nights: A journey of One Thousand and One Night ! A voyage through authentic moroccan kitchen in its simplest way … Baghrir is one of The Moroccoan kitchen wonders!

I’ve just came back from school and I was homesick xd I thought that maybe trying beghrir will make me feel better ! And of course I’m sharing with you the recipe of these amazing moroccan crêpes *-*

Perfect with honey and a cup of moroccan min tea! This is all you need to make it !

Ingredients

3 cups fine Semolina
1 tsp yeast
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
4 cups warm water
1 egg

 

Directions 

1 Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and use a mixer to combine them.

2 Let it rest for 30 min

3 Pour enough batter into a preaheated  small non-stick pan, cook it until the baghrir starts making holes and looks dry! take it away from the heat and let it cool down… Repeat it until there’s no batter left.

PS: If you wanna make the black baghrir, you may add some cocoa pouder to the mixture…

Serve warm with Honey and a typical Moroccan Tea ! Besseha !!
