Winter is getting rough here in Morocco, yesterday people in Rabat were completly shocked to see graupel. Well, it wasn’t the first time… But we do have to admit that it has never been this intense before!
You know, there is nothing more beautiful than a pure surface covered with snow. Euphoric white all over the ground, clothing trees and almost flowing like poetry! But, is it normal to witness such a cold winter with snow fall? I’ve read an article about global warming, and how much it could lead to colder weather in some parts of the world! And sometimes, I wonder if it’s already too late to act against it?
As the mecury level is going down, it is the best excuse for a hot chocolate perfectly paired with warm clothes, a blanket and a movie to watch. I have not decided which movie I should watch first, maybe La La Land, Allied or perhabs I’ll get to see the performance of my favorite irish actor Michael Fassbender in the light between oceans!
Anyway, I surely made my mind about the drink. I’ll be making a BIG mug of hot chocolate with coffee and ice cream!! I’m so exited for this one, since I’ve never made it before… This combination might sound normal for some but here in Morocco we’re not used to these kind of hot drinks, our official hot drink is mint tea! And yes it deserves its official status hahaha
So, chase away the chill and warm up your cold hands by sipping a mug of hot chocolate made with love. Trust me foodies, this recipe won’t disappoint because chocolate is always worth trying + there is Nutella in there so it can’t go wrong.
Who needs Starbucks when you can make your own customized hot chocolate? Spice it up by adding the unique flavour of cinnamon and the edginess of coffee. Check out the recipe down below!
Ingredients: (for 1 cup)
- 1/3 cup Coffee
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
- 1 scoop of coffee ice cream
- 2 tsp Nutella or dark chocolate ( or both)
- 1 tsp Chocolate powder
- Cinnamon
Instructions:
- Heat up milk and coffee.
- Add chocolate powder, Nutella… Whisk occasionally until it disolves.
- Pour it into a cup and top it with ice cream and sprinkle some cinnamon.
